Our Council takes pride in our service to the Italian American community of Shrewsbury St. but it does not stop there. We are also involved in the greater community at large with a focus on the needs of Our lady of Mt. Carmel Parish. We have several Chairmen that deal with such areas as Pro-Life, Church, Youth and Community needs. We believe that the heart of our order is service to God through the use of our talents to benefit the physical and spiritual needs of our community. In all cases we try to extol the benefits of virtue and prayer while encouraging men and women to remain faithful to church attendance.
Founded in 2004 by Graziano "Nino" Giamei, Council 13575 is housed at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Worcester, Mass. Located in the downstairs offices of the Recreation center we meet on the third Thursday of every month at 7:00 in our council chambers. In the summers we remain active but do not have regular business meetings. Our Council works closely with Mt. Carmel and its resident Monsignor to provide services to the Parish and the area Community. We feel it our calling to bring the Good News of Christ's Love to our world and hopefully inspire others through our work. Our hearts desire is to make a meaningful difference in the world and to be an example of faith in Worcester. If you have some extra time, and a sincere heart to serve, we would welcome your participation!

Luke’s Gospel 10:38-42 gives us a clue regarding Our Father’s attitude about our priorities. In that story Jesus commended Mary, who sat at the feet of Jesus as he taught, absorbing all that He said. Martha, busy serving the crowd was told that her focus was not where it should be. It is not our service God is after, but our hearts. Busy service without being rooted in Christ turns us into simple social workers and this is not God’s design. Some do find a deeper meaning and relationship with God through service and others find that deeper path in sitting idly at the feet of Jesus, just as Mary did. God is the potter and we the clay. God’s plan certainly is not a one size fits all proposition. Our position and goal is to let Jesus live through us, and thus our service becomes meaningful. As Jesus said “Without Prayer nothing is possible”. As Knights we recall the amazing capacity of the Sinless Lamb of God to move among us with great compassion. In our journey of service Jesus tells us we do not have to accept what people do, but we cannot be his disciples unless we accept what people are. The heart of the Master must move within our service.
